- Alex finds evidence suggesting a new bombing. The FBI arrests all of Alex's accomplices except Agent Booth.
- In the future, the FBI computer system is hacked and confidential files go public, leading Alex to the conclusion that a second bomb is in play somewhere in NYC. Back at Quantico, the recruits are given individual assignments, only to realize they are all connected as part of a lesson to look about the bigger picture.
- In Quantico, the recruits having passed exams are allocated to FBI branches and each get a first test assignment. Discovering possible links, they end up realizing that's no coincidence, indeed a complex reenactment of a terrorist bombing which was prevented, given twists. Afterward they may visit the DC HQ, to meet and hopefully impress key officials. Liam catches Ryan and Alex having illegally consulted secret archive files to find out about her mother's Pakistani secret service past, yet handles it discretely and even confides the bureau covered up the failed mission during which he failed, like her father, to prevent another terrorist strike. Caleb almost loses Shelby by duly checking up on her past and Saudi half-sister Samar Hashmi, but compensates by volunteering his own juvenile trauma, having been cult-abused. In New York, Caleb duly questions his father's attempt to cover up his affair 'to save Caleb's mother's senatorial ambitions', yet helps possibly even at the investigation's expense. Dark web hacker Duncan offers a way out overseas to Alex and wounded Ryan, who is tricked in leaving without her, as she decides the secrets about to be buried are an intolerable risk to national security.—KGF Vissers
