Really understudied issue, presented really well

The Field tackles an issue that has agitated Irish people since the 1800s. The stories in this series definitely call into question our priorities and our values as a society – much of which still cling onto archaic notions of tradition and inheritance- to the point where families will fall apart and never speak again rather than agree over a piece of land! The notion is unthinkable but it happens every day in this country- The series moves from the light and almost comedic to the very dark and unbelievable tales of murder between brothers and neighbours. There is plenty of scope for this series to be extended and I for one would love to see more and have a deeper dive into the individual stories. The music was skilfully placed to create the mood and move the stories along – in fact a track-list would be great as well! All in all I loved this series and would love to see round 2 coming soon!
