Time is running out for Claire and Phil, he's annoyed by her silence, masking her conversations with Lucy and details of her baby. Phil is kicked off the case so it falls on Claire to seek the killer. Lucy contacts Claire telling her they got it wrong with Harding, and makes reference to his skin. Lucy turns up at the home of ex boyfriend Chris Templeton, holding them ransom, while Claire closes the net on the killer.
Some of the series thus far has been hard work, with that in mind I was glad to get to the last episode, it's been very slow in parts, way too many long drawn out pauses and glances. That said Part 3 had been very good, the highlight. Part 4, hit and miss, some excellent moments in it, and sadly some pretty bad bits. It was Lucy that managed to create a lot of tension, the misdirection involving Megan I thought was brilliantly done, but I thought the ending very much let it down, that did not need to happen. It all got a bit messy. Lyndsey Marshal definitely stole the show, I thought her performance was excellent, she added something good to the rather average material she was given.
Some revelations had been obvious, Boyce sleeping with a journalist etc, I did feel a little cheated by the outcome.
I was so excited by this show, for the most part it didn't quite deliver.
