The body of a young female, Agota was discovered holding Claire's Police number A9645. Claire's husband Norrie discovers that she's still using medication, and has done since she left the Force, anti depressants, he tries to take her away from the scene and tells her she needs to confront her demons. Superintendent Keir offers Claire a secondment to the team as a consultant, the investigation leads the team to a clinic, and Claire finds a possible suspect, Gareth Harding through trawling CCTV. Claire demands to see the discovered bodies and that of Agota's she states that the killers are different, that the knots used on the ligatures are similar but not identical. Claire and Hind investigate Agota's flat, but an unknown assailant bursts past and escape, managing to outrun even the super fit Claire. Claire returns to the station to start piecing the case together and receives an anonymous note stating 'YOU LIED,' her daughter turns up on the murderer's wall of hits.

Part 1 was fairly good, I thought Part 2 was more interesting, a bit more pacey. Lots of close ups on Claire, and even more on Hind's beard, I'm assuming the person behind the camera loves beards.

Hind is definitely the stereotypical bullish Policeman, surprise surprise he's having an affair, and has an unhappy marriage, please show me a similar drama where the character in his position has a happy marriage with no affairs, one day maybe.

The acting once again cannot be faulted, it's very slick, and makes up for the somewhat slow story. I did find Claire's sudden ability to switch to being a cop after a 15 year gap. The story of why she left the Police and ran to the Highlands has grabbed my attention, I'm keen to see that unravel. There seems to be rather a small team trying to solve a brutal murder.

Gets a 7, because there are enough good elements to make me want to see Part 3.
