Josh has thrown himself in his work to try to get over Gabi. He has developed an app for a drone which impresses his new neighbour, Kal who is a British hi tec billionaire with pretensions of living the Downton Abbey life. Kal offers $500 million to buy Josh's company.
However Gabi returns to San Francisco after her stint in Switzerland resulted in burning down the restaurant.
Jobless, Gabi gets an offer to be the personal chef for Kal. Jealous Josh puts the deal for the buyout in jeopardy as he uses the drone to spy on Kal and Gabi.
At least the series managed to address Gabi's return back to San Francisco so quickly, it might be to do with the episode run being extended for the second season. It was all rather unconvincing including Kal getting the hots for another chef.
