We stopped it after 25 mins. Some scenes are promising, costume design is good. But otherwise it is tedious.

As a cinematographer, the first thing that stood out to me was the horrible lighting. I saw better lighting on beginning film student projects. In fact of the entire film reminded me one of the first films I worked on out of film school. From the quirky characters to the continued use of crude Sex terms I almost thought it might even have been by the same writers and director, but it's not.
Story wise it flows pretty well, and uses an interesting bump point method to move the story forward, otherwise it wouldn't have worked.
Some parts were a little entertaining, considering the plot line. I don't hate it, it's pretty creative, but the awards it won must be from small-time film festivals.
The film board I saw that made me decide to watch this movie implied it had a 6.8 IMDB rating, I'm not sure where it got that from, maybe it was shown at a California Canabbis Film Festival.
If you got nothing else to watch. This might keep you from being completely bored.

So you have this world where mythical creatures are real and co-exist with humans, but not very well. A lot of gags in here that don't quite connect, some cheap makeup effects and kind of okay acting. (It looks like they got Malcolm McDowell to contribute his voice as "The boogeyman", who is scared of humans and hides under his bed. Get it! That's the level of humor here.)

All the lame, cheap, awful "movies" feature tons of fake reviews these days, contributed by users with one review only according to their profiles.
The same is the case here. Said fakers praise the crap out of this piece of garbage with the most ridiculous attributes they can think of.
Nowadays you really have to check peoples profiles on IMDb after reading very positive reviews, what a bummer!
I only watched around 30 minutes, didn't laugh once during that time, although I already had the impression this movie was a waste of time within the first couple of minutes. I should have followed my gut feeling sooner and I would have spared me much more of this "Abnormal Atrocity" which should be the correct title of this stinker. Its score went from over 7 down to currently 4.7, and it's still way to high.

1. All the 9's and 10's reviews are made by people with only 1 (one) review ever, this one. (Family and friends much?)
2. The reviewers have User -Id's like; blabla-134543 and: whatever-2343 and such.
3. There are typically 29 reviews in total, and they are all nines and tens.
4. When you have a gut feeling that the movie is horrible, most of the time it is.
5. There are washed up "stars" in it, maybe one ore two.
6. If Ron Jeremy is in it: Avoid!
It is quite sad really, I used to rely on IMDB and its reviewers to at least give me a hint if I would give a movie a couple of hours of my life...Lesson learned.
All in all I'm sure the filmmakers and actors in this movie had fun making this, and I wish them all the luck in getting their money-investment back, because I really hope they didn't put their homes or cars as collateral to raise the 200$ it must have cost to make this movie.

This movie has Ron Jeremy in it. That should tell you all that you need to know about this lowbrow garbage film.
Pathetically cheap attempt at monster design- they are like Halloween costumes.
Crappy acting, and obnoxious characters...I would be embarrassed to be in this film. I don't know who this could possibly be made for, but I couldn't finish watching it.
I was sucked in by the shocking amount of positive user reviews here. After giving this movie a try, these reviews are either fake or must be left by people who likely love spoof movies that feature Carmen Electra- like Date Movie, Epic Movie, and Meet the Spartans. This is the same type of film. Beware.

Bonkers of madness that not many appreciated, I love weird though! I definitely understand the people that highly rated Abnormal Attraction those that did aren't fake reviewers it's basically a guilty pleasure type with bad acting throughout and unique characters. Would be even better on drugs.

I honestly don't understand these 10/10 reviews.
This movie is absolutely dreadful, one of the worst I've ever seen. I made it through 30m... It's horrible in every way. Boring and quite frankly, it was getting on my nerves. What a waste of time.

I enjoyed this movie. It was unusual and light hearted, and different from the usual stuff coming from Hollywood. They didn't spend trillions on special effects or make up, and everyone looked like they had fun making it.

I agree with my other negative reviewers - this is low budget trash. Not a laugh in this entire crapfest. IMDb really needs to put a halt to phony reviews. There's no way on Earth, unless the positive reviewers had lobotomies, that this got that high of a score. This is down there with One Eyed Monster - another Ron Jeremy starrer.

Comedy I didn't smile once that's US Comedy for you when they laugh at anything, Fantasy none, a lot of irrelevant Drama 100% for along play time, I skipped through the boring crap, stupid storyline, total boring garbage, its like watching cement/paint dry.

There's a lot wrong with this movie. The comedy falls flat. The performances are unconvincing. But if I had to sum it up in a word, I would call this flick annoying. The character of Finbar might be the worst thing since Jar-Jar Binks. The stupid jokes are annoying. The predictable and not funny ending is annoying.
An awful time is guaranteed for all, no matter how many fake 10s this trash accumulates.

This is a feel-good bizarrely entertaining film! It is a little hard to get into at first but give it a chance and you will enjoy it! I would describe this movie as a twisted adult fairytale embedded with morals and life lessons! Although the humor crosses the line for me at points, there were many instances throughout the movie I laughed out loud! I think it's fascinating how the makers of this film wrote such a multilayered script and decided to bring it to life with fairytale monsters and humans. Check it out!

For real, this was simply a fun movie. There is a lot going on and the story is creatively woven together nicely. It reminded me of my childhood and it's a definite nod to that era that the filmmakers were going for. I could really appreciate that style and they did a great job balancing the campy with the heartfelt. This may not be for everyone however, that's for sure. That is the pure definition of a cult movie but I can't find anyone seriously saying they can't enjoy something in here because there is just so much going on and to take in. I believe the film is highly intelligent on so many levels and hidden in a silly film like this there are great life lessons. It's a direct social commentary on what is happening in the world today, I think the filmmakers tapped into somentint unique here for sure. I know I was entertained.

This is one twisted fairytale. Really creative and super hilarious. Great job with the script and even though it's listed as a low budget film they still managed to have some quality actors in it. In all it's a pretty good flick to watch on the weekend with your friends or if you just want to have a good laugh.

So where do I begin? Found out about it at the Idyllwild Film Festival in a California, I went to one of it's screenings and really was in shock as I did not expect what I was seeing. I was a bit confused at first but intrigued enough, sadly I had a prior engagement shortly after it began and had to leave after just a few minutes in after seeing how long the runtime was, but last night I finally was able to order off Fandango Now and give it a proper shot. Glad I did, I was not disappointed, the film was even better then I initially expected. It's fun, lighthearted, bizzaro, over the top and an often crude original piece. Hollywood vet Bruce Davison is a highlight for sure but others are rising stars and hold their own. The movie starts off with a bang and you're not sure what is happening but once you settle in and the story becomes more clear you begin to feel more comfortable and engaged, the middle is heavily story driven and does lag a bit but after evaluation it is necessary with the amount of social commentary and set up needed for the finale'. I tried to figure out ways to make it a little shorter but came up short with the unique 3 act structure given. The ending is a payoff and glad to see they went in that direction. It was a return to practical FX for sure as I saw someone here noted, and I think it aids the picture well in its style. I can see this not being everyone's cup of tea (pun intended and you'll see in a certain hysterical sequence in an old woman's house) as it does take a little to settle in and get used to but I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of story and heart for a movie of this caliber. Settle in and let it happen.
