Alex's rejection, the show's realism, and the most deserved acclamation.

I was, in a way, glad that Harvard rejected Alex. Sure, she deserved, and I felt really bad for her, and was surprised (in a awesome way) by Ariel Winter's performance. The reason why I was glad was because, yet again, they kept real - one of the reasons why I love this show so much. Yes, they could've sugar coated, and let her in, but they were like: you know, life's not easy. I think it's incredible that they did that, and gives us a whole new plot line regarding Alex and the struggles of a young adult life, differently than what they did with Haley (that is giving us one of the sides of that same life). The realism of the show is what, for me, puts them in so many levels of modernity. As Steven Levitan said, Jay and Gloria are modern for they interracial and intergeneration marriage and parenting, Cam and Mitchell for they same sex marriage and parenting, and the Dunphies for they way of technology. But in a way, they are all modern by the same action: the reality (what they called mockumentary in the beginning). They could simply choose the easiest way, or, the popular way. But they went for the gold. This show - this season - is better than ever, and they deserve all the attention they have - and much more (because you know, people don't like the success when it's not with them).
