Attractive teacher Sharon has a one night stand with Rob, an American in the country short term. The one night stand leads to further nights of carnal lust, the two start to get on great, they even start dating. Rob sets off, the pair leave each other with some nice words, he returns to the USA, and all is well.....Until Sharon calls Rob to tell him she's pregnant. When going for a test Sharon is told she has pre-cancer. Sharon's so called friend Fran invites the pair to dinner. It does not go well.
I love this show, Channel 4 have a habit of making funny shows, and Catastrophe is one of the best of the bunch, it's really well made, smartly acted and it's gloriously funny.
She is so sarcastic, I love sarcasm in humour, she doesn't have take the mick out of his sweet nature. Some jokes you shouldn't laugh at but can't help yourself.
I love the scene of Rob being interrogated by the school kids, it's so funny. The Dinner scene is so funny too, great to see Ashley Jensen cast against type, she was funny as.
