- In a world without men, Clem and Hera are taken in by Lilith and Isabel. However, when Hera decides to kill the sisters and make the cabin her own, Clem has to choose between the logical violence of Hera and the empathy of Lilith.
- Set in 2028, in a post apocalyptic world, having been hit by a wide spread nuclear war that killed 60% of the population and a virus outbreak that infected and wiped out all the remaining men, Beyond Good & Evil explores human relationships in context of survival and violence - a story of real people in impossible situations. When a young girl, Clementine and her mother, Hera, lost in the forest, in search of a home get caught in a trap and injured, they are rescued by two sisters, Lilith & Isabel who bring them back to their cabin, offering them shelter, protection and food for the night. While Lilith and Clementine strike a strong friendship, Hera plots to kill the sisters and to make their cabin her own, a safe place where she and Clementine can spend the rest of their days. The overriding metaphor in the film is from the fable of the wolf and the lamb - and it defines the primal choice that is presented to Clementine when she is forced to choose between the brutal and rational violence of her mother, Hera and the soft empathy and humanism of Lilith - A decision that will affect the lives of four women, Beyond Good & Evil is a coming of age journey for this 16 year old Clementine, in search of her identity in a world that is violent and cruel.—Kshitij Bal
