- Girl Couch is a satirical short film, presenting trendy initiatives promoting girl power and "bandwagon politics" in a talk show setting. The film explores online cause activism and will contrast the current (and sometimes commodified) version of feminism with the ideas of past generations. Our host Meredith is a poorly informed caricature of today's "millenial", and arbitrarily gung-ho for anything in the name of activism and/or women. Meredith has a passion for freedom and equality for..."you tell me!" The film follows Meredith into a particularly edgy episode of her show as she chats with prominent women from history; Marie Curie, Indira Gandhi, Sarah Bernhardt, Ida B. Wells, and Simone de Beauvoir.
