Goofs

In the last scene, Anna's sisters are fighting over letting the other sister eat first, and Anna is waiting there, In one take, while shifting from point of view of parents, Anna is already chewing on something, like they had just done a take where she was still finishing what she had in her mouth. This is before she jumps in to get the first piece of pizza which she couldn't eat since getting ill.

When Angela, Christy and Anna cross the street to go to Angelas car, there is a car directly in front of them and a taxi behind it. In the next shot the car is gone and the taxi pulls up to them.

At 57 minutes in the movie the doctors pretend eye-patch is on his eye in one scene then moves up on his forehead in the next scene.

In the beginning, Christy and Kevin are talking while Kevin is putting his shirt on. Kevins collar is up, then down, then up and down again.

Jennifer Garner pronounces the town her character supposedly lives in, Burleson, Texas, as "BURL-sun", but locals pronounce it "BURR-less-on"--three syllables, not two.

Anna had major abdominal surgery and should have a sizable scar, but whenever her belly is examined several times there is no scar at all. Even when her tummy is no longer swollen she doesn't have a scar.

In the final church scene there are three men wearing hats in church. Two tan and one black hat. Men's hats are removed when entering a Christian church.

As the Beam's are driving to Church at the beginning of the movie, the registration sticker is shown with a 2011 expiration date. In 2010/2011 two stickers would have been on the windshield: the registration sticker and a state inspection sticker. As of 2015, the inspection sticker is no longer required, suggesting that principal photography took place that year.

The cottonwood tree looks as fake as it actually is. Nothing about it looks real.

At about 40 minutes into the movie, Angela gets in her car and the keys are not in the ignition. They suddenly appear in the next shot. Angela also reaches to the floor when the car starts.

There is a distinct camera shadow when the doctor and Anna's mother are discussing Anna's remarkable recovery The shadow is clearly seen when the doctor gives Christy his tie and they hug.

There is a scene where the main characters visit the aquarium (presumably in Boston as Christy and Anna are awaiting a call from Boston Children's Hospital) and a whale shark is seen inside a large tank. There are no whale sharks at the Boston Aquarium- in fact, the aquarium where this scene was filmed- Atlanta Georgia- does not look at all like Boston's aquarium.
