    Morgan Jones : [in a flashback, Rick shoots Pete]  Rick?

    Rick Grimes : [in the present, Rick gets ready to lead the group into moving the herd of walkers]  I know this sounds insane, but this is an insane world. We have to come for them before they come for us. It's that simple.

  • [in a flashback, Deanna discusses to Rick and Morgan how to dispose of Pete's corpse, that they don't bury killers] 

    Deanna Monroe : Rick's right. Take it away. Go west. Down Branton Road a few miles. Just past the bridge. We don't go out that way. Let the trees have him.

    Rick Grimes : [the scene cuts to Rick and Morgan loading up the body in a trunk]  I shot him because he killed Reg. That was it. We didn't have a choice.

    Morgan Jones : You do have a cell.

    Rick Grimes : Not for killers.

    Morgan Jones : I'm a killer, Rick. I am, and you are, too.

    [Rick closes the car trunk] 

  • [Rick catches Carter pumping up the community members in the armory, to take back Alexandria by killing Rick] 

    Rick Grimes : [Rick holds a gun to the back of Carter's head]  You really think you're gonna take this community from us. From Glenn? From Michonne? From Daryl? From me? Do you have any idea who you're talking to?

    Carter : It was just me.

    Rick Grimes : What?

    Carter : It was - It was just me. Just - Just kill me.

    Daryl Dixon : [Rick hesitates]  Rick.

    Rick Grimes : [Rick lowers his weapon]  I'm good. You can try to work with us. You can try to survive. Would you do that?

  • [in a flashback, Rick offerss the keys to his house to Morgan as the two rest along the porch] 

    Rick Grimes : [Rick tosses his house keys to Morgan]  Get your stuff. You should stay with us over here.

    Morgan Jones : You got room?

    Rick Grimes : We'll make room. We don't need to do that anymore. I know you, Morgan. Even if this is the first time.

    Rick Grimes : [Morgan looks over to Rick holding Judith]  You want to hold her?

    Morgan Jones : [Morgan chuckles]  Okay.

    Rick Grimes : [Rick hands Judith over to Morgan]  This is Morgan. He's a friend of mine.

    Morgan Jones : [Morgan holds Judith]  Hey. Hi. Okay. Let me have a look at you. Hey, hey. hey, hey.

    Morgan Jones : [Rick and Morgan sit on the porch as Morgan pauses]  You with that man Carter, at the armory - That's you. You're still the same man I met in King County. The one that came back and told me it wasn't over. That was you. Same you that's right in front of me right now.

    Rick Grimes : [Rick talks about Carter]  I wanted to kill him. So it would be easier. So I wouldn't have to worry about how he could screw up or what stupid thing he'd do next because that's who he is. Just somebody who shouldn't be alive now. I wanted to kill him. But all that hit me and... I realized I didn't have to do it. He doesn't get it. Somebody like that... they're gonna die no matter what.

    [Morgan sits quiet as the scene cuts to Carter being bit by a walker] 

  • [in a flashback, Morgan talks to Rick after the murder of Pete] 

    Morgan Jones : [Morgan smiles]  You were right. It wasn't over.

    Rick Grimes : We should talk more tomorrow. Listen... I don't take chances anymore.

    Morgan Jones : And you shouldn't.

  • [in a flashback, Rick talks to Jessie about Ron, that he wants to teach her and her kids on how to protect themselves] 

    Rick Grimes : Ron needed to hear every word I said. That's why I grabbed him. I wasn't angry. I was just telling him the truth.

    Jessie Anderson : If it's coming from you, he can't hear it. You got to understand that.

    Rick Grimes : [Rick grabs a pistol from the armory shelf]  He needs to know how to handle himself. I can teach him. I can teach you.

    Jessie Anderson : Rick.

    Rick Grimes : You need to know how.

    Jessie Anderson : [Jessie shows Rick that she's already carrying a gun and learning to shoot]  Rick. When I found out we could have them, I asked Rosita to start showing me how. Okay? She's gonna teach me and I'm gonna teach Ron, and I'm gonna teach Sam. I heard what you were saying to us at the meeting. And at my house before, you know. I am gonna fight, Rick.

    [Rick nods his head and sets the pistol back down]

    [in the present, we see the herd of walkers walking according to plan, when an unexpected horn starts blaring out in the distance] 

    Heath : What the hell is happening?

    Glenn Rhee : It's a horn or something. It's pulling the back half off the road. Oh, God.

    Michonne : Whatever that is it's far. It sounds like it's coming from...

    Rick Grimes : Home.

    [the camera shows from a bird's-eye view the hundreds of walkers heading in the direction of Alexandria]
