Beetle's back (somewhat) Warning: Spoilers
"Beetlejuice 2" is of course only in theory an official sequel to tim Burton's original movie as here we have a little Funnyordie parody that is not even the film in its entirety (even at considerably under 3 minutes), but the making of and we also have an interview with the director who is the "brother of Tim Burton because he has weird hair and likes spooky stuff. Oh well, lead actress is Natasha Lyonne from Orange is the New Black and she does alright with what she is goven. Admittedly it isn't much. The moments when the film here slightly shines are those when it makes reference to other works like the Tupac Shakur movie "Juice" (of course!) or when there is a weird cover of the pretty great song "Maniac". I must say without having seen Beetlejuice, I thought this was an okay watch for 2.5 minutes, but by general standards nothing you really must see. Director is SNL's Emmy nominee Ryan Perez and he worked on quite a lot Funnyordie stuff just like his writer here Jake Fogelnest. Overall, I'd give this short film a thumbs-down. A bit of a close call, but all in all it is not good enough for a positive recommendation. Only watch if you love Lyonne and/or FoD. What you think of Burton's Beetlejuice should not be a factor in your decision making I guess.

The worst movie I have not seen ever.

What's wrong with Michael Keaton?!? He was superb in the first Beetlejuice.

There are things which shouldn't be messed with.

Don't mess with success!

Beetlejuice opened theatrically in the United States on March 30, 1988, earning US$8,030,897 in its opening weekend. The film eventually grossed US$73,707,461 in North America. Beetlejuice was a financial success recouping its US$15 million budget, and was the 10th-highest grossing film of 1988.
