Dean Martin Celebrity Roast: Dennis Weaver (1976)
Gunsmoke Vet Dennis weaver is the subjects of this episode and features guests including Shelley Winters, Milton Berle, Rich Little, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Nispey Russell, Peter Graves, Foster Brooks, George Hamilton, Red Buttons and Ruth Buzzi among others. It seems that the Gunsmoke jokes were the running gag here but thankfully the majority of the guests do a nice job with the jokes. It should come as no shock but once again it's Buzzi who steals the show with her wild and hilarious act. Winters gets to speak early on but I really don't think this was the best format for her talents. On the other hand, Russell and Berle are both right on the mark and share a nice moment together as well. This is certainly an entertaining episode and worth watching.
