Candace Cameron Bure and David O'Donnell in Christmas Under Wraps (2014)

Goofs

Christmas Under Wraps

Edit

Continuity

When Andy is driving Lauren into town he points out Hattie's Place as they drive past but a few seconds later in the long shot they are driving past Hattie's. Maybe he's driving in circles.
When Lauren is walking to work, the morning after tending to Rudy, she is drinking her coffee from Hattie's Diner. Upon arriving at the Hospital, now without her coffee, her morning coffee is delivered to her by Hattie.
When Lauren enters the hospital after having bought her new clothing, her handbags switches from facing forward to backward in successive scenes.
When Lauren leaves her home with Wyatt to tend to Rudy, she is not carrying her red "doctor's bag". Yet upon exiting the SUV at Frank's house, she is carrying the red bag.

Factual errors

Lauren claims to have assisted in hundreds of surgeries yet when asked to pass the needle nose pliers she hands them over nose first. She would have handed them over handle first.
In December Alaska receives 6 hours of sunlight per day, yet daylight hours in Garland are the same as the lower 48 states.
The deli owner brings the doctor a coffee and a gift of a scarf. She makes a point of saying she knows the doctor prefers pashmina but up in Alaska you need wool to stay warm. Pashmina is wool. In fact it is cashmere wool which is warmer than sheep's wool.
Dr. Brunell sees a kid who has a rash from playing behind his house in late December Alaska and asks his mom what's growing behind the house.
When Andy is working on the electrical panel, he is supposedly tightening screws. He's turning the screw driver left, loosening screws.

Revealing mistakes

Doctor Burnell cannot get clothing shipped to Garland, but there is a never-ending supply of fresh flowers.
When Dr. Brunell enters the diner and asks about the additional workers, she is given a coffee and makes no payment before she leaves.
When Docter Lauren Brunell walks into the Holliday shipping warehouse (minute 56:31) two workers walk towards a third worker. in the next scene, the same two workers walk a second time towards the same third worker but this scene goes further and Lauren gets into the picture following the two workers on her way to see Mr. Holliday.
The movie takes place in Alaska just before Christmas. However, it was clearly shot in autumn, and only time you see winter is on stock footage. There are green and brownish deciduous trees in the wide shots in the downtown, green deciduous trees around Frank's house and clinics, and even flowers in the front of clinics. When Lauren walks from the airport, there are green deciduous bushes but they sprayed with artificial snow. There is a night scene when Lauren and Andy watch auroras in the sky, and behind them are green deciduous trees. Also, it's dark in 6:30 am in Alaska, not day like in the movie. And there is even more - as was warm, most of the cast and extras not only didn't wear winter clothes and hats, but most of time they have open jackets even in the evening and night.

Miscellaneous

When Lauren is walking to Hatties at about 30 minutes in she wearing a teal coat and a matching handbag. When she walks into Hatties her handbag is now navy.

Errors in geography

The movie takes place in December, at a location north of Anchorage, Alaska. There is too much sunlight during the day. For instance, when Dr. Brunell's alarm goes off at 6:30 A.M., it should be dark. The room is flooded with sunlight.
When they take off from Anchorage they show mountains (hills by Alaska standards) that don't have any snow on them and don't remotely resemble anything near Anchorage.

Plot holes

Dr. Brunell calls her mother because she "needs someone to talk to". She and the father pass the cell phone between them and end the conversation almost immediately, thus adding to her isolation from them, because they are leaving the house for the theater. However, on a cell phone, the conversation could have continued until they arrived at the theater, a time length of at least 15 minutes, if not longer.
