- In Hastinapur, everyone is nervous when Sanjay returns from meeting with Yudhishthir and his allies.Duryodhan remains adamant about going to war. Shakuni advises Duryodhan to seek Krishna's help.
- Sanjay delivers Yudhishthir's message to Dhritarashtra and also says that Dhritarashtra should return Indraprastha to Pandavas. Dhritarashtra calls Vidur, who tells Dhritarashtra that he will never forgive him for the partition of Hastinapur. He blames Dhritarashtra for every injustice on Pandavas. Dhritarashtra made every decision as a father and not as a King. He was willing to pay any price to see his son Duryodhan on the throne of Hastinapur. The house of wax, the game of dice, the dis-robing of Draupadi, all were done in front of Dhritarashtra and with his tacit knowledge and approval. Vidur warns that war would mean the destruction of the Kuru dynasty. Vidur calls Hastinapur as Dhritarashtra's prime responsibility and Duryodhan as the disease that inflicts Dhritarashtra.
In Hastinapur, everyone is nervous when Sanjay returns from meeting with Yudhishthir and his allies. Sanjay says in open court, "Duryodhan should know that Arjun said, 'If Indraprastha is not given back to us, we will uproot the Kauravas.'"
Duryodhan remains adamant about going to war and says that the elders will not be able to convince him otherwise. Bhishma advises Duryodhan in live court not to go to war with Pandavas as Hastinapur would lose. He tells Duryodhan not to listen to Shakuni, Karna and Dushasan. He says Duryodhan is the only reason for the decline of Hastinapur. Bhishma re-iterates that Arjun alone was enough for the entire Kuru army in Virat war. He beseeches Dhritarashtra to sue for peace and return Indraprastha to Pandavas for the sake of long life of his own sons. Duryodhan wont budge at all. Dhritarashtra wants to know what Yudhishthir said. Sanjay says that in the Virat assembly, only Yudhishthir and Krishna were speaking the language of peace. Sanjay says Pandavas have only 2 alternatives: Indraprastha or war. Dhritarashtra expresses his inability to return Indraprastha to Pandavas as Indraprastha belongs to Duryodhan. With this statement Dhritarashtra gives his tactical approval to go to war against the Pandavas.
Shakuni advises Duryodhan to seek Krishna's help. Shakuni knows that Krishna is the one person who can lead Pandavas to victory. He says that the army of Dwarka is the most powerful one in the entire land. Arjun also wishes to seek Krishna's help and visits Krishna at the same time as Duryodhan in Krishna's chambers. Duryodhan says that war is imminent and he wants Dwarka to assist Hastinapur as they are also friends and their relations are also the same as with Pandavas. Krishna tells them, he is obliged to assist both of them. He offers 2 options: Yadav army or unarmed Krishna (who will not pick weapons on the battlefield). Arjun gets the first choice (as he is the younger one) and chooses unarmed Krishna (Arjun came to seek help from Narayan and not the Narayani army). Duryodhan is happy to get the Yadav army. Shakuni is livid that this deal will be very expensive for Duryodhan. Krishna is worth more than any army.
Arjun wants Krishna to be his charioteer during the war. Krishna knows every route and all directions and he wont let Arjun get distracted during the war. Balram refuses to fight in the war. Krishna offers to make one last attempt for peace.
