When Danny is reviewing the US Army personnel files of the suspects they are all pictured to be wearing a tan colored beret. All of these 'soldiers' supposedly served with a Stryker (armored) Brigade. The tan beret is only worn by members of the 75th Ranger Regiment not by conventional soldiers. In addition the beret 'flash' is upside down.
At 8:15, Commissioner Reagan says, "I don't think we need to move to Code Red just yet, Sergeant." However, in the previous episode, Sins of the Father (#5.10), Gormley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Gormley continues to be referred to as a sergeant throughout this episode. A possible explanation is that this episode was originally intended to come before instead of after the episode aired previously.
Garrett says that "Spanky" is the person's nom de guerre, which he then defines as "pen name." "Nom de guerre" actually translates as "name of war;" it is a pseudonym that is adopted for reasons of security by soldiers (official or resistance). A "nom de plume" is a pen name, adopted by a writer.
The Sullivans' dining table is shown with a chair on each side. Generally, a family with a wheelchair user will keep one side of the table chairless, in order to provide a simple place for the user to wheel up without having to have someone else help.
