Featured the first, and only, segment of Stevie Richards and the Blue Meanie's "The Blonde Bytch Project," a parody of The Blair Witch Project (1999) about Sable (Rena Lesnar). It was abandoned due to concerns over her lawsuit against the then-WWF and because Vince McMahon didn't know about "The Blair Witch Project" and didn't know how many people would get the joke.
The show opened with commentator Jim Ross introducing the new WWF World Heavyweight Champion Mankind (Mick Foley), but Triple H and Chyna came out instead, with HHH complaining about losing the Triple Threat match for the title the night before at SummerSlam. He then threatened to break Ross' arm unless Mankind gave him a title shot. Mankind agreed but HHH basically broke Ross' arm anyway. Mankind withdrew the acceptance but Shane McMahon mandated that the match would happen. Michael Cole took over on commentary in Ross' place.
Featured ring announcer Howard Finkel running to the ring to the Ultimate Warrior's music, shaking the ropes Warrior-style, and cutting a promo praising Chris Jericho.
Featured a backstage skit where Billy Gunn told Chyna to stand by Jeff Jarrett's door so he could get a pen to sign the open challenge contract for a shot at Jarrett's Intercontinental Heavyweight Title. While Gunn was gone, Chyna signed it herself. Gunn later confronted Chyna about it in the ring and Jarrett broke his guitar over Chyna's back. As Jarrett celebrated, Gunn stole a second guitar from Jarrett's valet Miss Kitty and smashed Jarrett with it. This launched the Jarrett-Chyna feud that ultimately culminated in Jarrett leaving WWE forever.
