When Joe goes to Central City Picture News to meet with Iris, the newsroom is deserted. In today's world (of which The Flash's world is an analogue) of a 24 hour news cycle, there is just about no reason why a newsroom should be deserted during daylight hours.
Gorilla brains and human brains are not the same shape; they're close, but not quite as close as Caitlin's brain scans would indicate.
This is one of the few episodes where Barry is seen wearing more than one pair of street shoes. For a guy who gets about on foot (and frequently moves about at super speeds), his shoes never appear worn, which is inconsistent with his creating so much heat that his shoes smoke in certain episodes.
Iris and Joe discuss Barry and The Flash being one and the same -- at the top of her voice in a newspaper office as she tries to convince Joe that she would have been an asset in keeping Barry's secret. Joe's silence in not pointing out that she should being using her indoor voice when discussing a crucial secret in an unsecured area suggests that her claim at being an asset is meant to be true (according to the scriptwriters) while her loud, emotional manner proves she is not.
Barry explores the city sewers in his Converse Chuck Taylor high tops (as glimpsed when he's psychically assaulted) - nowhere near the best of footwear for a planned (rather than impromptu) expedition through sludge water and human excrement. He'd be zipping out to hitch on some hip waders rather than stenching up his Chucks and cooling his tootsies in manure water (but he doesn't).
