- Courtiers and even Colbert speculate Louis may abandon his Versailles project as the roads are made utterly unsafe by Cassel's cahoot Montcourt's brigands, which may cost security chief Fabien Marchal his job, but excessive violence on aristocrats and a royal god-daughter who got away may allow tracking down and trapping the fiends.
