When Mia is struck in the head with a hammer by Mr. Gale, her face is shown closeup as if she is lying on her sight side. Blood runs downward (across) her forehead because she is on her die. In the next shot of her, she is on her back with her head turned to the right and the blood is running down her face toward her neck.
After Mia has mostly healed of her injuries, she only has a visible scar vertically over her right eyebrow. She was never injured there.
As Fin holds the knife to Mr. Gale's throat, the latter cries out in pain. But this would not cause him pain unless the knife was cutting him.
Mr. Gale says of Mia, "she's bleeding badly." But she clearly is not, with no blood pool near her, only blood running down her face.
