A cute little coming-of-age film from Sweden notable for fine performances by the three teenage leads and a warm, accepting portrait of teen emotional instability. When the film never reaches any relevance beyond the constraints of the story itself, it is because writer/director Linda-Marie Birbeck threads too familiar waters and populates her film with props and behaviours that feel more like anachronisms from her own childhood than actually belonging to teens of today. The young and largely inexperienced cast do quite well with the material they are presented, not least Anna Hägglin in the lead.
