- At the underwear fashion show designer Miss Heloise held to land a prestigious London contract, the favorite model she had step as it didn't fit her suddenly collapses, dead. She was hit on the head by a brick thrown through the window by the docs' more radical fellow suffragette as a protest against exploiting models, but died from unrelated asphyxiation. The brilliantly less-constraining but fatal design was a prototype developed by Heloise's head seamstress, who shows it was substitute for a poor quality variation, where the 'skeleton' can suddenly contract and prevent breeding, as Julia experiences experimenting at home. Motives point to the new top model, the underpaid seamstress and the kin of an old tragedy's victim. Inspector Thomas Brackenreid insists to organize a boxing duel in a ring to settle a dispute over a coin between his brat Bibby and Crabtree's charge Simon Brooks and takes the bets as a matter of honor, but the boys have their own method.—KGF Vissers
