Miss Marple relies on her Village life observations to track down the killer. Inspector Slack continued his own energetic, but flawed investigation.
Miss Marple shows her metal, she doesn't get an eyelid in frightening Pamela or Dinah Lee, she's one tough old lady, determined to get to the truth.
It's a very satisfying episode, for me it's the best of the trip, I love how everything is explained, and how the loose ends are tied up. Lots of tension, with some very nice accompanying music, it all leads to the dramatic ending.
The ending is brilliant, it's very sinister, and for those that don't know the book, the killer comes as a real surprise.
It's beautifully acted, Andrew Cruikshank, Trudie Styler and Frederick Jaeger all impress.
Mark is an important character, it feels that he doesn't quite get enough screen time, he's been a somewhat bit part player.
Miss Marple was no stranger to Somerset House.
Very good, 8/10.
