- A man who conned people with bad investments is murdered along with his wife, and their children are suspects. Meanwhile, McGarrett's Aunt Deb returns to Hawaii with surprise news.
- An investment banker and his wife are brutally killed. They learn that the man may have been embezzling from his clients and was about to be arrested. They learn that their children were away at the time, so they question them but the family lawyer stops them. They learn that the friend they were staying with was one of the people his father stole from so they question him but he denies it. They try to get the sons to take a lie detector test but one of them refuses and runs away. They find him and learn what's he hiding and it's not that he killed them. They turn their attention to another person who stood to gain. Steve's Aunt Deb returns and announces that she's going to marry someone. When Steve meets him and when he tells him who and what he is, Steve doesn't believe him and asks Jerry to check him out.—rcs0411@yahoo.com
- Bringing the agitated dog Riley home, the neighbor teen kids are shocked to find broke investment banker Kealoha and his wife Kate slash-murdered bloodily at home. Although the SEC-investigated banker was broke, having lost many clients' capital in a stock crisis and Ponzi scheme, his teen sons de facto inherit a $20,000,000 study fund. Its manager, family lawyer Eugene Goodman, advises them against cooperating freely, but junior Jake is confident enough to accept lie detector tests. Big brother Travis however runs, tailed by Chin to his siren lover, adult neighbor widow Patti Gable, mother of their flippant school buddy Tai Gable, a petty weed dealer, whose father committed suicide after Kealoha lost their life savings. Steve meanwhile has Jerry check out his terminal aunt Debby's cruise-found groom Leonard Cassano, who has a questionable part as mob lawyer and suspected evidence thief.—KGF Vissers
