- Jackson Kenner: I thought you might be hungry.
- Hayley Marshall: Grilled cheese, huh? Hell of a chef.
- Jackson Kenner: Well, I don't like to brag. You know I can help you with Hope, right? If you want to take a break sometime, I'm good with kids.
- Hayley Marshall: I missed six months of her life. I don't mind.
- [sweetly:]
- Hayley Marshall: Thanks. Hey, Jack, you've been a million miles away lately
- Jackson Kenner: I'm finally starting to get the wolves back into the Quarter.
- Hayley Marshall: Okay, I know what busy is, and I know what trying to keep busy is. But I've barely seen you.
- Jackson Kenner: I know. I just don't want you to feel obligated to me, this marriage.
- Hayley Marshall: How many times do I have to tell you this isn't an obligation?
- [shakes her head, then realizes:]
- Hayley Marshall: Are you talking about sex?
- Jackson Kenner: [sighs] The unification ritual worked... but we still have to live as husband and wife.
- Hayley Marshall: This isn't something that we have to be shy about.
- Jackson Kenner: It's the start of our life together.
- Hayley Marshall: We're both adults. Let's just put on some Marvin Gaye and light some candles and we'll just...
- [Hope starts wailing at that inopportune moment]
- Hayley Marshall: Or... I could go and feed the baby.
- Freya Mikaelson: Don't worry. I've made sure no one can come in here.
- Vincent Griffith: I'm not worried, I'm just... impatient for a reunion with the brothers that tried to kill me. Freya, now that I'm healed, I need power. And our father's still in the tomb where I left him. I think it's time that I go back and channel him.
- [on his way]
- Freya Mikaelson: Finn...
- [Vincent turns back]
- Freya Mikaelson: I need a moment alone with him first.
- [Vincent clearly thinks this is a bad idea]
- Freya Mikaelson: It's been a thousand years. He doesn't even know I'm still alive.
- Vincent Griffith: Believe me, Freya, that is for the best.
- [shakes his head]
- Vincent Griffith: He's a monster!
- Freya Mikaelson: [shakes her head] He wasn't a monster to me.
- Vincent Griffith: Well, he changed after you were taken. Freya, I spent years hoping that he would go back to being himself, but he never did. And from what I understand, over the centuries, he's grown far worse.
- Freya Mikaelson: Just a few minutes, my sweet Munin.
- Vincent Griffith: I suppose you'll want time with our mother as well.
- Freya Mikaelson: Esther... gave me away. She is nothing to me. Let her rot!
- Vincent Griffith: [Mikael to be resurrected] Freya, are you sure you wanna do this? This is not the man that you remember!
- Freya Mikaelson: He is still my father!
- Gia: Look, for... what it's worth, I thought Marcel and I had a thing, but that... didn't work out. We may not be in the same boat, but it's the same ocean.
- Mikael: [resurrected, but not appreciative] What devil are you?
- Freya Mikaelson: Someone you once loved deeply, my father.
- Mikael: [grabs her by the throat] I have no time for your riddles, witch!
- Freya Mikaelson: Do you not recognize me? Can you not see the daughter you thought died so long ago?
- Mikael: [yells] You lie!
- Freya Mikaelson: You named your sword Rawthul... after the early morning sun. Its hilt was golden like the color of my hair. You said it would remind you of me while you were in battle. That I'd be by your side no matter how far afield you traveled.
- Mikael: [mumbles disbelievingly] It can't be...
- Freya Mikaelson: The night before you left for war, you christened that sword with goat's blood. When I awoke... you were gone. I never saw you again.
- Mikael: It's been... a thousand years. How is this possible?
- Freya Mikaelson: I was taken... by Dahlia. I'll explain everything. Just say you believe me.
- [kneels in front of her father]
- Mikael: My beautiful Freya.
- [her face between his hands]
- Mikael: My daughter!
- [hugs her, sobs]
