Originally conceived, written, shot and edited in less than thirty-six hours on the weekend of July 25th 2014 for the Stranger With My Face Film Festival's '48-Hour Tasploitation Challenge'. Unfortunately it broke a basic rule, it ran longer than the six minute duration cap, a whole ten minutes more. In the hours leading up to the 8pm submission time, the film was re-edited several ways but regardless of whichever way the film was reworked it was impossible to get the edit anywhere near a six minute duration, subsequently the film was submitted as the original sixteen minute cut. The festival wrestled with the duration and kindly offered to screen the film out of competition if filmmaker Jarret Gahan could cut the film down to six minutes or perhaps even allow a six minute excerpt from the film to play, with no time and no idea of what to cut Gahan decided to add a fast forward-like effect to portions of the film to shave ten minutes from its duration. Despite compromising the integrity of the film, it did show the audience there was a whole other ten minutes that existed and would hopefully spark enough interest in people seeing the complete unabridged director's cut down the track.
