Baptiste and the cops have a huge interest in Hughes because Garrett has disappeared mysteriously. Wife Hughes lies to cover for Husband Hughes. Also Hughes finds out Garrett had a solid alibi for when Olly was taken so he definitely did not do it. So Hughes killed a man for a crime he did not commit. However Garrett was a serial pedofile and deserved to die anyway so Baptiste is torn anyway between putting a guy away for killing a pedofile or letting it....go away.
