The episode scenes related to Auckland take place during the July-August days of 1914. However, the sunny weather, tree leaves, and people's summer dresses and suits define a very summery environment.

Totally backless red dresses were not available or accepted forms of respectable dress for a young lady of that era.

Elastic topped patterned blue stockings did not exist in 1914.

Some of the men have belt loops on their trousers but belt loops were not invented until 1922.
