Thurnemouth Day is a celebrated day. Trevor will be master of ceremonies while Joyce attempts to get Carol into the choir. When John goes to pick up Joan, he ends up fixing her toilet instead, and Alan finds himself knee-deep in a project.
The resort celebrates its history on Thurnemouth Day with Trevor dressing as Lord Nelson to cut a ribbon. Maureen takes him to get his costume, offering - unwanted - marital advice. Joyce attempts to get Carol into her choral society in order to impress Trevor but is denied her chance by the choir mistress. She gets revenge but as a result is thrown out of the society. John goes to collect Joan but ends up mending her toilet whilst Alan engages a geriatric builder to help lay his patio but ends up doing all the work himself.—don @ minifie-1
