I Guessed the Flavor
marsdreamnation20 August 2014
It's like something out a twisted steam-punk novel, if steam-punk went forward in time and lost all the cool gadgetry of course, but nonetheless, it takes you throughout these stories.

At first glance it seems a bit confusing, but as you keep watching, you notice that the stories all mesh together in an odd sort of way. Much like steam-punk, and like steam-punk, with its many factors, Glamarus tells an odd, distorted story of a man's perspective on certain events that seemed to have been the driving force behind said film.

You get to see an array of characters, some ranging from spooky to down right hilarious. And as you continue on, the whole point of the film, if you feel there is indeed a point, which I do, becomes sort of a revelation on a more personal level. It's kind of like you were all up in the koolaid, but now you know the flavor so it's totally cool.

All in all, by the time one has seen the entirety of Glamarus, you'll hold a personal grudge against the makers of barbecue ribs, you'll see the Hudson River or basically any body of water and its surroundings as someone else's kingdom, and you'll steer clear of plastic snowmen, and traffic cones.

The Romp of Romps
Some people like other movies. Some people like Pizza House 2 or Runaway Devilskinbaby. Not me. The movie for me is Glamarus.

The first feature film by Dylan Greenberg(You may also be familiar with her from her music as Disck), Glamarus brings really cool and intriguing visuals together with laffs galore and a plot that you are challenged to assemble yourself. Musical and acting performances by Dylan's friends shine and really bring out the vibes that made her earlier short films so genuinely fun, but still the film maintains serious professionalism and technique.

Thanks so much for this great full length feature JAM, Dylan. I can't wait for the next one.

Amazing Movie
saramckenziekaiser20 August 2014
Wonderfully produced. Casted well. Ridiculously interesting story. From what I took away from it, there were very deep and meaningful themes about the "inner child" and identity. The funny bits were funny and the serious bits were serious and well executed. Glamarus is the type of movie that makes you think. It makes you step back for a moment. I think everybody takes away something different after they watch it. Everyone comes to their own conclusion based on how they perceived the story. The editing was well done. The camera work was shaky at some points but who cares? Not me. I think Dylan Greenberg did a wonderful job directing this. I would 10/10 recommend watching.

Surreal story of many people watched over by a man in a TV set
eli-sheppard20 August 2014
This movie is really really awesome. I think anyone and everyone should watch it. It is definitely one of the greatest movies I have ever seen and truly is an experience for anyone watching. The cast and crew of the film did an amazing job. The amount of creativity and expression involved in this film is really insane in a really cool and positive way. I am associated with some of the people who helped create this movie and they are really cool and I bet they would really appreciate it if you watched Glamarus because of how much work they put into making it. This is a super cool awesome amazing movie and you should all see it because of how awesome and creative it is please watch it. Thank you.

A surreal series of vignettes revolving around a loose theme that is decided by the viewer
maxhustenis20 August 2014
A spectacular art film that is like nothing I've seen before. Featuring music from many underground musicians, the soundtrack is spectacular, and suits all of the scenes perfectly. The actors and actresses involved with the film are also spectacular. An interesting thing about the film is that almost all of the scenes are improvised on the spot-performance art, if you will. The film feels almost like a work of poetry.A spectacular art film that is like nothing I've seen before.
