- Tyrion advises Daenerys. Sansa forces Theon to tell her a secret. Cersei remains stubborn. Arya meets her first target. Jon and Tormund meet with the wildling elders.
- In Braavos, Arya is learning slowly and is regularly tested. She poses as an oyster seller and is assigned a specific task. In Meereen, Daenerys sits in judgment on Ser Jorah and Tyrion. While Jorah is again banished, Tyrion soon becomes her advisor. In Winterfell, Sansa learns something important from Theon. Roose Bolton meanwhile awaits Stannis' arrival but Ramsay disagrees with his approach.In King's Landing, Cersei learns from Qyburn that the High Sparrow has a strong case against her and recommends a way out for her. At Castle Black, Sam recovers from his wounds. Jon Snow and Tormund Giantsbane arrive at their destination north of the Wall. While some of them accept the offer of land in the south, many do not. In king's Landing, Cercei refuses to confess and is informed that the High Sparrow has a strong case against her. In Braavos, Arya is assigned to pose as seller of oyster to spy a gambler. In Winterfell, Theon discloses to Sansa that Ramsay has mutilated him and also that he has not killed her two brothers Bran and Rickon. Ramsey tries to convince his father to attack Stannis. Jon Snow and Tormund meet the Wildlings in their village and try to convince them to move to Castle Black, but only 5,000 of them accept the offer and embark in the ships. - Even thirsting desperately in sparrow jail, Cersei remains too proud and selfish to take maester Qyburn's advice to confess as the evidence is overwhelming. Jon Snow and Tormund can convince only 5000 Wildlings to embark and join the Watch troops, already too late to escape an attack from Wights and White Walkers. Theon explains too viciously pouting Sansa Ramsay broke his will by torture and confides he didn't burn her kid brothers but passes off two farm boys for Bran and Rickon. Ramsay asks Roose fro twenty men to surprise-attack Stannis. Even Daenerys realizes she needs counsel if still hoping to conquer Westeros, hence accepts clever Tyrion to her small council, but he can only get her to spare Jorah the promised execution, not lift his banishment. Disguised as a shellfish peddler, she is to first learn about the insurer and then poison him. Theon tells Sansa that he faked killing Brandon and Rickon. Ramsay asks Roose for twenty men to attack Stannis's camp. In Meereen, Tyrion convinces Daenerys to spare Jorah's life; she does but exiles him again. Jorah returns to Yezzan and asks to fight in the pits. Daenerys accepts Tyrion into her council. Arriving in Hardhome, Jon and Tormund recruit five thousand Wildlings but an army of wights attacks them. Jon kills a White Walker with Longclaw, his Valyrian steel sword. As he, Tormund, and the other survivors escape by sea, they witness the Night King reanimating the dead Wildlings.
- Pycelle invites Cersei's uncle Kevan (who had gone back to Casterly Rock due to Cersei's authoritarian behavior), to take over as the Hand of the King. Qyburn visits Cersei in prison and keeps feeding her info. Cersei's uncle, Kevan, is appointed as the Hand of the King. Cersei is denied water to force a confession, which she refuses to give. Pycelle refuses to visit Cersei in prison. So, does Tommen. Cersei promises her nun prison guard Unella (Hannah Waddingham) that hers will be the last face Unella sees before she dies.

Theon tells Sansa that he faked killing Brandon and Rickon. Theon tells Sansa about how he was tortured mercilessly and endlessly after Winterfell was abandoned by his IronHand soldiers. He was cut piece by piece until there was no Theon left. Theon doesn't know where Bran and Rickon went. Ramsay asks Roose for twenty men to attack Stannis' camp. Ramsay is not in favor of hiding behind the walls of Winterfell and wait for the Stannis army to freeze in the raging storm outside. Roose says that Winterfell is fully repaired, the gates reinforced and have enough supplies for 6 months. There is no need to mount this attack. Ramsay argues that this is an opportunity to show the North, how House Bolton treats invaders.
In Meereen, Tyrion convinces Daenerys to spare Jorah's life (he also convinces her that Tyrion is her friend, as he killed Tywin and he means the best for the realm of the seven kingdoms. She cannot build a better world on her own. and she will need advisers who understand the world she is going to conquer. Tyrion served as Hand of the King). Tyrion argues that Jorah might have spied on Daenerys, but is no longer that man.. Yet, Jorah never confessed his betrayal to her until forced to do so. Jorah is devoted to Daenerys, so Tyrion's advise is to keep him alive (as killing him would not inspire people to be devoted to Daenerys); she spares him but exiles him again. Jorah returns to Yezzan and asks to fight in the pits. Daenerys accepts Tyrion into her council as she needs someone who can advise her on the war strategy in the King's Landing and to rule the lands across the Narrow Sea.
Tyrion tells Daenerys how Varys has been helping her ever since she was a little girl and has a big hand in keeping her safe through her journey so far. Although he admits that the order to poison her came from Varys's hand, but maybe under pressure. It was Varys who wanted Tyrion to meet Daenerys to begin with. Varys convinced Tyrion that Daenerys was the one worth living for. Daenerys wants Tyrion to help her get to the Iron Throne, but Tyrion challenges Daenerys's thinking of coming to power without the support of the rich lords. Daenerys says she intends to end the rule of the Lords and the rich families like the Starks, Baratheons, Lannisters, Tyrells, Arryns and so on. She will break the wheel.
Olly confesses to Sam that he is upset that Jon is trying to save the Wildlings. Sam says leadership is all about making tough choices. Without wild-lings, the men don't stand a chance against the white walkers. Arriving in Hardhome, Jon and Tormund recruit five thousand Wildlings and convince them to join them to lands at the South of the Wall. Jon tells the elders that only by joining forces can they defeat the white walkers. He shows them his cache of dragon glass. Tormund supports Jon and says this is the only way to make peace. But Thenns refuse to join, still doubting Jon's intentions, since he killed Mance Rayder (Tormund clarifies that Stannis wanted to burn him alive, so Jon's arrow was mercy). An army of wights attacks them. They are after Jon's cache of dragon-glass. Jon kills a White Walker with Longclaw, his Valyrian steel sword and saves his cache of dragon-glass in the process. The Night King launches a veritable ocean of dead at the camp, forcing Jon and Tormund to retreat. As he, Tormund, and the other survivors escape by sea, they witness the Night King (Richard Brake) reanimating the dead Wildlings as wights.
