It Takes All Kinds: The Making of Motel Hell (2014)
*** (out of 4)
Co-producers and co-writers Robert Jaffe and Steven-Charles Jaffe are joined by director Kevin Connor and actor Marc Silver as they share their memories on the making of MOTEL HELL, a film that didn't do overly well when originally released but has become a cult over the past few decades. The writers talk about their original ideas on the screenplay, how all these ideas came together and what eventually got the movie made. Connor talks about struggling in Hollywood, not liking the story too much but there just wasn't any other job available. Silver talks about some of the scenes that he was in and shares his opinion on the movie. Overall this here is another entertaining featurette from Shout Factory!. This one here runs 24-minutes and we get some nice stories throughout and especially those about the two lead actors and what they brought to the film. Fans will certainly enjoy hearing these stories.
