Trivia

The plot has strong ties to Emma Stone's real-life history. The movie is based in LA, and Mia is discovered as a college dropout actress pursuing her dreams. Stone is a school dropout herself, having moved to LA at the age of 15 in pursuit of an acting career. See more »

Goofs

At the beginning of the movie, Mia is wearing a woman's blouse (buttons on left) when she leaves work for an audition and bumps into a customer who spills coffee on her. During the audition she is still wearing a woman's blouse, but when she leaves you can see that she is wearing a man's shirt (buttons on right) as she unzips her jacket and enters the elevator. When she gets to her apartment and flops on the bed, she is back to wearing a woman's blouse. See more »

Shocked me how good it was
27 November 2019 | by elijahzSee all my reviews

I remember when I saw the trailers for this movie, I thought it would be a sad but sweet love story and nothing more. And while it is that it brings so much more flare and beauty that I would never have expected from this. It took me three years to see it and it far out shone any expectation I had.
