Sigmund Liban sings forty second from the prologue to PAGLIACCI in this early sound film.
My source for this particular copy claims that this was "recorded and played back using the pin-tone method". A brief Internet search reveals no information on this, so I assume it used the standard technique for the era, of a synchronized record. Interestingly, this record closely resembled the Vitaphone disks of two decades later, eing 16" in diameter, with the needle moving from the center out.
The visual elements of the copy I looked at were dark, and Liban was on the left of the screen's center, unusual for this period.
