poor video

Having watched this film on movies4men I would suggest anyone who knows a little on the subject to give it a miss, the pictures are good, but the spoken content is very badly based rubbish, i.e.= in the first few minutes it states that British ships only had 12inch guns while the Germans had 15inch, anyone who as read up on this knows Britain had 10 15inch battleships in service between 1915/17 the Germans only launched 2 by 1917 to late to be of use, next in the Battle of Jutland it gets the losses about right but states that the Germans put up a good fight against the British fleet but had to turn away in the end, utter rubbish, everyone knows the Germans sank 3 battlecruisers but has soon as the battleships appeared they turned and ran for home at full speed- who wrote the script for this, the diaries of a long dead German admiral, best that can be said it could and should have been a lot better

Dumbed down and underwhelming

The history of battleships, from World War 1 to WW2, culminating in the monsters of WW2, the greatest battleships the world has ever seen.

A fairly weak documentary. Everything is dumbed down, as if the viewer knows nothing about warships. There's also a fair degree of dramatic licence, making the "facts" a bit less true just to wow the viewer.

There's enough in this to interest someone who is new to the subject but anyone who has even a moderate degree of knowledge this is going to be quite dull and insulting.
