Sex & Nudity

Mild

There is a boss called the 'mourning wood', however it is locked behind an event that requires manual summoning using late-game resources, meaning most players will not get that far.
One of the items is refered to as "Master Bait", used as bait for fishing, after Apprentice Bait and Journeyman Bait.
The Tax Collector talks about how he had the Dryad pay him with favors, which now he mentions having fungus growing on strange places. Nothing explicit is shown.
The Nymph female character is mostly nude, but no genitals or cleavage is visible.
There is a mini-boss enemy called "Ice-Queen" and some visible cleavage is shown.
Some NPC's and enemies have cleavage, but since the game is pixel base it isn't shown well (but implied).
The Arms Dealer character is implied to be a womanizer.
Some female character outfits/armor show some pixelated cleavage.
One of the NPCs says "Hurry up kid, I got a date with the nurse"
The Dryad wears nothing but vines to cover her cleavage and genitals; it is very pixelated, however, so it's not visible.

Violence & Gore

Moderate

Creatures, including hovering eyeballs, zombies, and worms attack the player normally.
When facing enemies, players can choose either to flee or to attack with weapons.
Should the player's avatar die, they will leave behind a tombstone with an inscription that embellishes the circumstances of the death, saying, for example, that the adventurer's head had been torn off.
Blood and Gore appear in the game, but can be disabled in the options.
Blood and gore in Terraria is often in exaggerated forms.
When defeating most enemies in the game, they will break into a few particles of gore. These disappear very quickly and usually consist of an existing body part with some red pixels around the edge. Being a pixel game, this is not very detailed.
When you attack someone, a hefty amount a blood squirts out.
The Blood Zombies makes a bone crunching noise when you kill it.
The Eye of Cthulhu is a very bloody eye that floats around and attacks people.
There are many enemies that are gruesome, such as the zombie, the nymph, the werewolf etc.

Profanity

Mild
13 of 26 found this mild
One character (the Wizard), says "dammit" during rainstorms, in reference to a Star Trek quote.
A character (the mechanic), says "fudge" in a line (a euphemism to the f-word).
Crap and Hell are used by the NPCs sometimes.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Mild

One character references smoking.
NPCs sell Ale and Sake, which can be drank for an effect that lowers defense but gives several boosts to melee weapons.
You can craft a "Keg" which is used to make beer, and it is possible to get drunk.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

Moderate
14 of 26 found this moderate
On the old-gen console verson there's a boss called Ocram, it might scare younger audiences.
The game is mostly scary at night.
Moon Lord can be intense for some players especially who are sensitive to flashing lights
The crimson biome could be uncomfortable for players as it contains bloody imagery and scarier visceral monsters.
Some bosses might scare younger children.
The Wall of Flesh maybe scary to some players.
There are some creepy enemies.
