Pixie Hollow Bake Off (2013 TV Short) User Reviews

5.5 mostly fun minutes

Here we have "Pixie Hollow Bake Off", a 5.5-minute animated short film from 2013, so this one has its 5th anniversary this year. The director and writer are both fairly experienced already and have worked on projects in the past that were aimed at a rather (young and) female audience. And this one here makes no exception. but let me say as a male in his 30s that I enjoyed it nonetheless. It is a David-Goliath story, but luckily without an unrealistic feel-good ending, but instead some funny and charming plot twist that you perhaps did not expect although you shoudl have. And the epilogue comment by Gelata isn't too shabby either. Yeah well I cannot deny that I enjoyed this little film. The animation is really good to be honest, maybe the film's bestg aspect and the entertainment value is on par too, especially in the second half I would say where the film gets a bit better after a slow start. Decent overall, I do not know much about Tinker Bell to be honest, but this one makes me want to change it. Also nice to see established actress like Adlong, Huston and Liu attached to the project. Praise where praise is due. A bit of a pity it is so hard to find. Watch it if you can.

Oh my god this short is even more worse the Disney Channel short Tinkerbell And The Pixie Hollow Games, this is just except Tinkerbell trying to challenge Gelata the chef fairy to the bake off, even though the Disney Fairies franchise got discontinued since 2015 because it was all about the money, and their direct to video sequels didn't have much success or were as good as their first movies, even though they cancelled Planes 3 which wa going to be in april 12th 2019, but no i am only okay with Planes 1 and Planes 2: Fire And Rescue, oh did i forgot to tell you that Disneytoon Studios in now renamed as Disney Movietoons, but i am glad that the direct to video sequels were discontinued since 1994-2008 even though some of their sequels were good like Aladdin And The King Of Thieves, Beauty And The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride, all the Winnie The Pooh movies, The Lion King 1 ½, Bambi 2, Brother Bear 2, Cinderella 3: A Twist In Time, Return To Neverland, Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers, Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas, An Extremely Goofy Movie, Lady And The Tramp 2: Scamp's Adventure and101 Dalmatians 2: Patch's London Adventure. And the bad Disney direct to video sequels are even more worse than Strange Magic, The Wild (2006), Mars Needs Moms, Underdog (2007), The Ice Age Adventures Of Buck Wild, Mulan (2020) and Artemis Fowl.
