David's story was originally going to be one out of three stories in an anthology called "Bad Things". After a prolonged discussion between Lee Foster, Allan Cowling, Jonny Cowling, Jay Staley, Jake McDowell and Johnnie Alward, it was decided to focus on only one story - and the title was changed to "Something Bad".
The Apartment used in the film was Director Lee Foster's Apartment.
The Film was shot in only 11 days.
During one of the last days of shooting, a massive snowstorm hit Toronto and the actress who was playing Kim was stranded. Cara Moir, who had prepared for the same role, was an extra in the scene. Because the shoot date could not be pushed back, Cara adopted the role of Kim - and nailed it.
There are many references to other movies in Something Bad. Most of the movies referenced are favourites of the crew, or films that inspired the project.
