I can't see a single flaw within this short movie/ music video. The acting is absolutely stunning and the film manages to tackle such important topics in such a small time span. I absolutely love if.

Thomas Brodie - Sangster can be a reasonable motif to see this video. But significant is the story proposeed by it , a fair - precise definition of youth in honest terms, from plans to tonight for her to message from friends to him, a funny night versus her jealousy and violence as terrible conclusion.

The music is just inspired skin for images.

But essential, in important measure, are the scars of both , defining, more profound, a familiar story about a not small aspect of relation. In short, just beautiful work, reminding ordinary facts defined by mistakes, immaturity and radical reactions.

Tables turned, quality stays low though

The name of this title "The Luka State: 30 Minute Break" gives away the name of the singer/band you hear and also the name of the song of course. But all this is only secondary because this is much more about the visual side than about anything else. In these minimally over 3 minutes, we have actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster play the victim of domestic violence in a case of tables turned where, unlike in other projects, the woman is the offender. we see him talk to another girl early on and he is seen by his girlfriend and when he returns home he gets abused by her. Also some alcohol and cigarette consumption in here and finally a statement on cutting himself that shows us how much the girlfriend is struggling and suffering with who she is and what she does. If it was a woman being the victim here, people would certainly have complained that she returns to bed with him, so why not do the same the way it is depicted in here? The wound on her arm is hardly an excuse. Overall, a fairly mediocre story and the song did not impress me either I must say. This project from 2014, which makes it almost 5 years old already, maybe more depending on when you read this review, gets a thumbs-down from me and it is only deep and insightful for the untrained eye. Watch and listen to something else instead. The subject could have deserved a slightly better execution in my opinion. It sure is important enough, but still good to taking a look at another perspective for once. Looking at how the director and the two writers are not really familiar with music videos it seems (at least according to their bodies of work here on imdb), the outcome is tolerable, but by general standards it is close to being a disappointment.
