"Emergency Call" is a 3-minute short film from last year that was written and directed by Megan Rosati. She also plays the main character. Also in this film is Anna Akana, who co-directed. The contents are exactly what the title describes: an emergency call. We hear a young woman hiding from a mass murderer call 911 and as the conversation goes on, she gets killed in the end and the shocked operator hears it all. I found nothing really too memorable about this short film. The actress who played the operator does a good job, but the other one is barely understandable. Of course she is scared for her life, but still this was a huge distraction. I cannot say this made me curious about Rosati's and Akana's next projects and I certainly expected more looking at the film's rating here. Not recommended.
