This was absolutely horrible. Bouncing back and forth from past and present constantly I literally was so frustrated watching when time goes by and pretty much nothing happens...

This was a cultural thriller, opening up the reality of China that I never knew before. There was drama, suspense, and romance, all set in a previously undocumented world. The cinematography was beautiful and the characters were lovable.

This story takes you to places behind a gleaming transnational that you don't normally see - the backstreets and the gritty vacant lots that make it all work. Stealthily shot on location, this film turns every thriller convention on its head and keeps you guessing what's real up to the very end.
