- The freaks mourn the death of one of their own, while Elsa welcomes a new performer. Penny and her new friends get revenge on her father.
- Everyone is shocked when they find Ma Petite's bloodied and torn clothes in the woods. They believe a coyote might have taken her and Elsa is particularly upset. Ethel isn't buying her act however as she is convinced Elsa is behind it all. Ethel should have kept her opinions to herself; Stanley soon has another specimen for the museum. Elsa goes on a recruiting mission to find a new member for the show. Gloria Mott meanwhile tells her psychiatrist about Dandy's pleasure at torturing and killing animals when he was young. A young boy once disappeared as well. She gets Dandy to go see the doctor but he isn't too happy when he realizes just what the he's up to. They also have to deal with Dora's daughter Regina who drops in to see her mother. When Gloria tells her she's out, Regina decides she'll just wait for her to return. Dandy has a solution to his problems. With the help of several of her new friends, Penny seeks revenge on her father.—garykmcd
- Gloria Mott unloads her concerns about her psycho son Dandy to her shrink. He chopped the hair off a playmate and killed Gloria's cat after she complained about it digging up her flowers. And then there was the young playmate of his who disappeared and was never seen again.
The shrink wants to see Dandy. She doesn't mention that Dandy recently slit the maid's throat.
The freaks search the woods for Ma Petite and find only her bloody clothes. They think an animal took her. Elsa is crushed.
Later that night, Ethel is wobbly from booze when she brings Elsa her dinner. She doesn't believe Elsa's tears for Ma Petite and thinks Elsa was jealous of the tiny woman for stealing her spotlight. Elsa rages at Ethel of calling her a murderer as she mourns, but Ethel isn't done yet. She brings up Elsa discussing killing the twins ("quite a solution") with Stanley.
Elsa admits she wanted the twins gone, but never hurt anyone. Ethel isn't appeased. She pulls out a gun and fires at Elsa's leg -- the bullet hits wood.
Elsa tells the story of an Italian doctor Massimo Dolcefino (Danny Huston) nursing her back to health after her legs were sawed off. He sculpted perfect wooden legs for her.
Ethel is touched Elsa shared her story, but it's not enough. Ethel plans to kill herself after the show tonight. Elsa offers her one last schnapps for the road -- at gunpoint. With Ethel aiming at her back, Elsa walks to her bar and picks up one of her throwing knives, which she then picks up and hurls through Ethel's eye socket.
Later, Maggie tearfully tells the story of seeing Ethel crash her car in the woods. Dell and Desiree tell Jimmy that his mom was dying and must have wanted to go out on her own terms. She had a chain around her neck when she stepped on the gas and it yanked her head clean off, because that's how Stanley arranged it as Elsa looked on.
Gloria returns to her house to find Dora's daughter Regina waiting to see her mother. Gloria spins a lengthy excuse about the errands she sent Dora out on, but Regina resolves to wait.
As the freaks gather around the accident scene, Elsa collapses in anguish over Ethel, the woman she killed.
Later that night, Jimmy says a tearful eulogy for his mother as they lower her wooden box casket into the ground. With Jimmy, Dell and the men gone, Desiree gets fired up about the plight of female freaks, specifically newly tattooed Penny. She rallies Suzi and Amazon Eve to take on Penny's father for what he did for her.
Dandy sits with the shrink and sees blood and mayhem in every Rorschach he's shown. He tells the doctor about a tribe he read about that eats the flesh of their enemies. Dandy wonders if someone could soak up their enemies power just by bathing in their blood.
Back at the house, Dandy calls out his mother for making up an excuse to send him to shrink. When he asks if she thinks he's sick, she replies that he's just "spirited."
Regina is growing tired of waiting and says she's going to the police if her mother doesn't come home soon.
Dandy offers to go back to the shrink for a month, if his mother kills Regina.
Elsa pays a visit to a high end fat farm, where women are having their fat jiggled off. Elsa homes in on a particularly large woman named Barbara and chats with her over a candy bar, recruiting party.
Back at the show, Desiree's hunting party sets out, leaving a "soup" of black gooey something bubbling on the stove.
Legless Suzi, Amazon Eve, Desiree and Penny break into Penny's house. Her father hears a noise and confronts Penny on the stairs with a shotgun. Desiree sneaks up behind him and knocks him out.
At the show, Elsa brings Barbara to the show and starts feeding her. Jimmy is good and drunk after his mother's death and says the days of the freaks are over.
The hunting party brings Penny's dad back to Desiree's trailer and ties him mostly naked to a chair. They fetch the tar from the stove and cut open pillows. After that Desiree plans to chop off his manhood and shoot him in the head.
Just before they run in to douse him with tar, Penny tells the women to stop. She grabs the bucket and leads the pouring. Maggie runs in when she hears the screams.
She tries to convince Penny that killing her father isn't the answer.
Penny holds the knife to her father. "I am the astounding Lizard Girl and you get to live because I say so. But you come near me or mine ever again and I will kill you," she says.
Gloria books an open-ended passage on the Queen Mary, over the objections of her shrink, who fears for her safety.
Dandy confronts his mother, blaming his psychosis on her for marrying her second cousin for the money. "You knew what father had done to those little girls, you knew the risks of breeding with your cousin. You're no better than the Roosevelts," Dandy says.
"How dare you say that name in this house?" Gloria says.
Dandy refuses to go anywhere with his mother, thinking she hates him. Instead, she assures him that her father wasn't the love of her life, Dandy is.
Dandy pulls a gun and puts it to his head. She begs him not to do it, saying he can't g on if he kills himself. "OK," he says.
Then he shoots his mother instead.
Back at the show, Jimmy is still drunk. Maggie tries to get him to pull it together so they can leave. She asks where the leader she fell in love with is. She tells him he couldn't have saved his mother and tries to take his booze. Instead, he tells her to go live her beautiful life with someone else.
"Alrighty then, thanks for the clarity," she says.
Jimmy notices Barbara nearby, eating. He sinks to his knees for a hug.
Back at the Mott house, Dandy soaks in a tub of blood.
