The Death of Lisa Steinberg
a_baron29 June 2014
Although this documentary concerns the death of a young girl it is about a lot more than that. The term "abusive relationship" is one that is used often and at times frivolously, but the way Joel Steinberg treated Hedda Nussbaum beggars belief, especially as this was an intelligent career woman who could have walked away at any time.

Steinberg himself appears to have been a Jekyll & Hyde character, one who was mostly Mr Hyde at home. The disturbing footage here includes film of Hedda Nussbaum's body taken by the authorities shortly after her arrest, a woman who looked a good ten years older than she actually was.

Steinberg and Nussbaum were both said to have overindulged in crack cocaine, which may have been one of the factors that resulted in Steinberg's conviction for manslaughter rather than second degree murder.

Don't watch this if you are of a sensitive disposition.
