- Dysfunctional siblings attempt to wrangle their 'baby' brother after their crackpot grandfather's invention transforms the toddler into a 30 year-old man.
- A mad scientist grandfather invents a genetic transformation machine and his 4 year old grandson accidentally turns his body into that of a 30 year old man. Baby Bobby escapes and runs around town as his siblings try to catch him before their parents get back from vacation AND before the bad guys get to him first. The machine is worth a lot of money and they only have a day before the machine loses its capabilities to change baby bobby back.—Sofia L. Monroe
- Simon has developed a device called Advancium, which can grow a seed into a flower in just seconds. This invention has a lot of potential and could change the world. And in the wrong hands, it could be disastrous.
Simon lives in a pleasant suburban neighborhood with his frustrated daughter Molly, her husband Herb and their three children. Bobby is 2, and Jason is a few years older and a genius who takes pleasure in doing everything right and doing his chores. He also takes care of Bobby when needed.
And Avery is three years away from college, irresponsible and immature, but adorable and not that different from other teens. She has an even more irresponsible friend Calamity (actually, that's her only friend) who is quite likable but thinks she can just walk into Avery's room without knocking a borrow her clothes. Calamity's own skirt is way too short, and she has been in trouble with the police. Still, she actually seems to be a good influence on her friend.
Oaff is a neighbor of Simon's who happens to work at Gluttony, Gluttony and Sloth, the company Simon is making a presentation to. There is a buyer for the product. Oaff's boss Underbrunter, who looks like Ray of NPR's "Car Talk" and has the personality and voice of Al Lewis of "The Munsters", fires Oaff for stealing. But Oaff is still on his way out of the building with his stuff when he witnesses Simon's presentation.
Oaff comes home to wife Veronica, who is spoiled and has a British accent and wants him gone, until he says they can steal Advancium and make a fortune selling it.
Molly and Herb go on vacation, leaving Jason in charge of Bobby. No, Avery could not handle it. Jason puts Avery in charge of Bobby for a few minutes while he goes out to do yard work. Avery and Calamity are too busy with their video game to notice when Bobby leaves the room.
After Bobby gets into Simon's lab and sees this neat toy, the big change happens.
A crazy 30-year-old is behaving very strangely in a local park, stealing cake and causing other problems. Avery, Jason and Calamity are chasing after him but so are Oaff and Veronica, and then Officer Chip. It's not clear how big a city this is (an ambulance at the hospital says Los Angeles, but that could mean it is transporting a patient to there), but the cops obviously have time to deal with less serious matters.
Bobby also creates havoc in a hospital. Eventually he gets arrested and bumbling detective Sayles is absolutely convinced Bobby is a genius of some kind and he is determined to get the truth out of him. For some reason the interrogation room has multiple camera angles and someone manages to put a viral video online that makes Sayles look like a moron. Jiles is the female desk sergeant who seems smarter than everyone else except possibly the frustrated captain. And wait until you see what happens later in that interrogation room!
Eventually Oaff and Veronica manage to get their hands on Bobby and deliver him and the device to Macon, who has a lot of money and promises more. The meeting does not go well, and more adventure and chaos result.
There is one big problem. Simon's research has determined there is a deadline before Bobby cannot be changed back.
