Since the dawn of TV in the 50s, producers have torn out their hair -- literally -- trying to determine why shows which do not deserve it become hits and why shows that do deserve it, do not.
This is an example of the latter. A lot of fuss about the animation style perhaps distracted everyone -- distributors, buyers, advertisers and viewers alike -- from the fact that, after the first few episodes (Frog and Toad - yuck) this series became very solid, very well written and very engaging.
There were I believe about a dozen award nominations, but no wins.
Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. Pity.
