In the abandoned town of La Estancia, bound by time and space, an unusual relationship develops between one of the last inhabitants, Juan Diego and the filmmaker documenting his life.
Years pass by and La Estancia grows empty. The filmmaker returns to complete his unfinished work and reestablish the bond with his characters, but he soon realizes that things have changed and can never be the same. The only thing left in La Estancia is the echoes of its voices.
