I knew of many different breeds growing up, but tonight I learned of a breed I never knew existed.. It was beautiful to me because watching this with my Daughter, we both learned about Snow Monkeys, so you see it doesn't matter your age, you can always still learn something new.. This was an amazing documentary, one me and my Daughter will cherish and enjoy over and over again..

Not as interesting as I'd hoped.

Everybody must love snow monkeys. After all, they are adorable and I can't think of any animal other than people that love hot tubbing as much as these adorable primates. So, when I saw this episode of "Nature" available through Netflix, I had to watch. Unfortunately, apart from the lovely voice of Liam Neeson and some nice footage of the animals, I really didn't feel that I learned a lot about the animals or their impact on Japanese culture. Instead, the narration anthropomorphizes the creatures a bit by giving them cute names and is too prosaic. It also shows the creatures playing, fighting and mating but not a lot more. Mildly interesting but not at all a film to fill you with delight concerning the creatures or teaching you all that much about them. Passable entertainment.
