My Review Of "Inhumanity"
ASouthernHorrorFan30 August 2018
"Inhumanity" relies heavily on its neo-noir style, building on a 'Big Guy' mentality with cult film mayhem. The story is part crime thriller and part psychological melodrama. Initially I got a "Seven" familiarity from the energy and style of Joe McReynolds story telling. There is a lot that is going on in this one , and the sporadic jumps between scenes, shaky cinematography can atest to it.

The cast do well to their commitment to the story. They embody their characters with grandiose nature. At times giving honest, compelling performances, and at other times campy falderal. All playing out as sporadic as the plot point jumps and sketchiness. It isn't all bad, but it isn'tall 'so-bad-so-good' either. At times it all just under minds McReynolds' intent and pulls focus from the film's momentum. Plus side- Leviticus Wolfe is a big draw to "Inhumanity" as Six Pack Sam.

The effects are, for the most part, well-produced, low budget mix of blood, violence and pulp mystery. Shady dealings, crime-action, and frenetic concepts help to move toward that "True Grit" attitude. Again, at times the execution is flawless, other times it all falls flat or is over-shadowed by the over-zealous acting.

Ups and downs
WheredidHueyLewisgo13 October 2018
The writing is interesting. I'm uncertain as to whether this is a brilliant comedy. It seems all over the place and I spent a decent amount of time trying to connect the dots. The beginning was good. Other parts weren't'. Or were they? No idea. Definitely not cookie cutter.

Too long, slow pace, convoluted plot, C-grade film
Top_Dawg_Critic27 September 2018
With the 8 reviews, I'm probably the 2nd honest review as anything above a 5 is a fake review with a new account and only this film reviewed. I can't stand when the producers think their viewers are stupid enough to believe the lies they are posting. I may have given this a higher score, but need to even the score, so it only gets a 3 from me.

This is a low budget C-grade film with no name actors. The film is waaayyy too long at 2 hours and the pace is ridiculously slow until some of the action starts. The plot is very convoluted and needed to be cut/edited better. The directing and cinematography were decent, but the writing was flawed. The ending makes you feel unsatisfied that you wasted your 2 hours for nothing.

Pass on this film unless you enjoy reading fake reviews and want to laugh at them after seeing this film. It's a 3/10 from me.

A wonderful tribute to the Grindhouse genre
patfanbatch23 August 2018
Inhumanity is an extremely fun to watch movie. I thoroughly enjoyed the performance of all of the actors and the way they brought the characters to life. The cinematography and the soundtrack perfectly complemented the Grindhouse style of the film. It brought me back to the summer nights I spent sneaking into the drive-in with my buddies and a six pack of beer (and now every time I think Six-Pack the connotation will be completely different). All the elements are there; humor, horror, suspense and just the right amount of over the top gore and violence. If you love Grindhouse horror films then you have to see this movie!

A new cult classic franchise....
WillBennet6519 August 2018
This was a fun little indie film shot in Austin Tx I read. It had a cool older film retro feel and the pacing was good. The middle pulled you into a crazy ending that left me wanting more. I can't wait for the sequel now that the pieces are in place. This has franchise written all over it. You can tell it was a low budget movie in some place but it didn't feel like it. It had some hidden humor with Ford Austin who played Sergio is a son of a bitch who I loved and can't wait to see him in the sequel. The two leading ladies were great! Jessa played by Darcel Dannielle and Dr. Campbell played by Diana Rose are very fine actresses!! Leviticus Wolfe has all the assets to be a star. I read this was his first film and thought he did a great job as Six Pack Sam. I hope to see more of this Writer/Director joe mcReynolds.

Action beginning, Slow burn middle-CRAZY END!!
BillyDunn7419 August 2018
This was a pretty cool little movie. Definitely was able to settle in and enjoy the ride. Reminded me of a 60-70's style mystery but with some crazy characters and a interesting plot. I read something about a serial killer so I thought it was gonna be the same old plot... Lots of characters and then they all get killed but this had lots of characters but it also had a plot with some interesting twists. Would recommend if you like the Coen brothers with some Quentin Tarantino splashed in. An independent film that could be a cult classic...

Excellent film
sdteach-6958719 August 2018
Inhumanity was a great film filled with suspense and thrills. Its Grindhouse vibe makes it even more appealing. It is an unpredictable thriller mixed with a diverse group of characters that makes it entertaining and fun. The story line is not your typical serial killer style movie. It keeps you guessing with its plot and character twists. It leaves you little clues throughout the movie, puzzle pieces, and just when you think you have the last piece in place... the puzzle morphs into a bigger picture in which the ending leaves you wanting more. Everything from the story line to the actors and actresses, the cinematography, music, vibe... excellent.

Twists, surprises and Bloody Action
justinspencer-9593917 August 2018
I didn't know what to expect when I bought this DVD off Walmart shelves but it looked interesting. I was expecting a nice thriller but what I got just a fun movie!! It had it's issues but for the most part it was very entertaining and the ending was insane. I won't get into the story line but I will say you won't be disappointed if you wanna watch a well done independent film with lots of Tarantino style mixed with Coen brothers type characters and humor.

Freddy, Michael, Jason step aside Six Pack Sam is here!
shagee797712 August 2018
Writer/Director Joe McReynolds bring Us Inhumanity! Six pack Sam is the new genre serial killer. The actor is played by newcomer Leviticus Wolfe. He excellently portrays the character wickedly good. A detective Daughter is almost the last victim before he is captured. The police arrive just in time to rescue her, but she slips in a comma and hospitalized. When she awakes she learns her dad has committed suicide. In disbelief she goes on a mission to find out what happened. She believes that her dad would never have done that. Jessa Dixon the detectives daughter, with the help of her father's former colleague Sergio, uncover something bigger than they expected. A corporate conspiracy is unveiled and things get dangerous. Sergio is the highlight of the movie played by a funny and witty Ford Austin. His amusing over the top performance brings light to an otherwise dark movie. Joe McReynolds proved he can make and enjoyable movie at a low budget and really did a great job. I am looking forward to a full blown horror movie next! This movie plays homage to Grindhouse/ Slasher exploitation movies of the 70's in the way it was shot and felt. It's not over the top and a even balance of a investigative thriller and Slasher.

This is a fun movie that will be enjoyed by Indy lovers, it will be on VOD/DVD ON 8/14.

Starring: Darcel Danielle, Diana Rose, Ford Austin and Leviticus Wolfe Inhumanity

A very fun action thriller!!
Sara524717 March 2018
I had the luck to see this film at a private screening in Austin Texas at the Alamo drafthouse. It reminded me of a Coen brothers movie with some Tarantino flare. It had a cool style and great cinematography. The pacing was great and it kept me guessing with a nice twist at the end. The acting was really good for an independent film. I highly recommend it!

Unique twisting mystery.....
janebrooke7 February 2019
This movie isn't a clear cut scary horror film even though there are some horror references. It's more like a mystery dark comedy. I can tell at times this was a low budget film however it was well shot and the grindhouse vibe with the editing style fit the film. High scores for originality and interesting plot... The ending is good with room for part II...
