Cute and funny Warning: Spoilers
"Jinxy Jenkins, Lucky Lou" is an awards-winning 4-minute short film from two years ago and the writer and director duo here are Michael Bidinger and Michelle Kwon. It is about a young man who is always very unfortunate and a young woman who is the exact opposite, but as the consequence of her being lucky all the time, she also never experiences thrilling or dangerous fun situations. But when the two meet for the first time, it becomes obvious that they complete each other and help each other exactly in that area where they are incomplete. So there is some nice depth here and it also succeeds on the comedy level, only mentioning the final ice cream scene as an example. That was pretty hilarious and nice closure. The speed and the action of this film did not do too much for me, but this was not a problem as it really delivered in the other areas I mentioned. Certainly a fun watch, go see it. I also really liked the animation style and I would watch a full feature film with the two, if there ever is one.

Irresistible Force Meets Immovable Object
Hitchcoc25 March 2019
When a guy who has nothing but bad luck meets a girl who has only good luck, something's gotta give. This is a cute, entertaining variation on boy meets girl--submerged in a unique situation. The problem is that no matter what, there is no resolution to this. We have some fun situations and bit of romance, but that's about it.

A very cute comedic short
TGGeeks6 July 2015
Ben and Keith (The Two Gay Geeks) screened this short at the Phoenix Loves Sci-Fi Film Festival along with 20 other short films. It was one of the standouts in the program. It was first up on the program. Keith thought it was a cute comedic short to whet the appetite for the rest of the festival. Ben's thoughts: This was a totally delightful computer animated short about two different individuals, their personal outlook on life, and how fate just brought them together. It was charming, very humorous, and done with such quality it looked like it could have easily been done by the folks at Pixar. We look forward to seeing more from these two artists.

Digital animated short of two opposites - cute antics in San Francisco
mary_cunningham_mn29 July 2014
This digital animation short is an award winning impressive graduation project by two digital animation artists. The storyline follows two lead characters through visually impressive and dynamically exciting antics. The setting is San Francisco, California, and the hilly streets and major landmarks are well used to add to the cute storyline. Two sides of a coin animated characters make for an interesting mix: playing on both the opposites attract and the yin-yang balance in the universe theme. The art, animation, and soundtrack all are well balanced and very professional – the viewer will not think of this as a student project. I expect we will see more remarkable works coming from both of these artists.

Wishy-washy

What would happen if a jinx of a guy and a lucky go girl met? How would they meet? How their extraordinary negative and positive energies would mix or balance? That is the interesting stating story of this animated vignette set in hilly San Francisco.

You know, there is nothing I hate about this short, but nothing I like either. Yes, there is a good dose of cuteness, a bit of adventure and funny not-so-funny moments. But that is all. There is not real narrative. This is just a long gag full of clichés, and stereotypical characters.

The CGI animation is very good, movement of the characters, landscaping, and so on, but not excellent either. To me that would not matter at all if the narrative, characters and overall story were interesting. They are not, to me.

lovely

Nothing new. only a love story. simple, amusing, seductive for gags and not for story. proposing pieces from many classic films. and a sort of adventure, different persons and few slices of San Francisco. but, in bizarre way, it is enough for be a lovely show. because nothing could be useful than a modest animation , with a silly message, with stereotypical characters and a lot of unrealistic events . and that does it , against appearences, a lovely short animation. like a fire works.
